The Arthritis Story:

Celedrin and Glucosamine
Arthritis is an inflamation (-it is) of the joint (-arthro). It is a degenerative disease that breaks down cartilage. If you were able to see into the arthritic joint, the surface of the bone instead of being smooth as ice and glistening, is rough like sandpaper and dull. It hurts to move. The pain flare-ups occur with even the slightest change in fluid (swelling). There can even be fluid build-up due to changes in barometric pressure which happens when a storm is approaching. Movement becomes cautionary and inactivity becomes the norm. A sedentary lifestyle leads to weight gain, more pressure on the joints and hence damage to the joint and greater pain and immobility.

Summary of Celedrin:

Celadrin is a medically and clinically proven pain management compound developed through a proprietary process of esterifying oils. Celadrin is a novel, all natural ingredient, which has been medically shown to reduce inflammation and pain with no side effects. Along with its many studies and scientific presentations, Celadrin has been published on two occasions in the internationally acclaimed Journal of Rheumatology. Celadrin systematically enhances and lubricates cell membranes throughout the body providing youthful cell fluidity and elasticity. This includes the fluids that cushion your bones and joints to maintain flexibility and mobility so that you can move with ease and pain free. Celadrin has been proven to provide cumulative (continuous and restorative) benefit. In a double blind clinical trial, oral Celadrin showed significant benefit beyond the arthritic medication the subjects were taking – with cumulative improvement shown throughout the study.

Summary of Glucosamine:

The “wear and tear” apparent in osteoarthritis is actually due to excess action of proteolytic enzymes that break down tissue. Glucosamine is made in the body and commercially available as a natural ingredient extracted from crustacean shells. Taken regularly, glucosamine: (1) helps maintain lubricating fluid in the joints, (2) promotes joint flexibility and range of motion; (3) provides a natural building block of healthy cartilage and (4) promotes comfortable joint function. In short term clinical trials, glucosamine provides effective symptomatic relief for patients with osteoarthritis. In addition, glucosamine has shown promising results in modifying the progression of arthritis over a 3-year period. Glucosamine proves to be a useful and safe treatment option for osteoarthritis, particularly if anyone has experienced or are likely to experience significant side effects from conventional painkillers.
